Read the Title of this post again. Your Body is a Masterpiece. When is the last time you have told yourself that? It's more likely that you have been saying negative things about your body and the changes that you have been seeing.
Have you also had thoughts like:
- I will do that when I have lost the weight.
- I can't go to that! I don't look good in anything that I could wear to an event like that.
- Why does this pair of jeans look so good on that influencer and looks so terrible on me?
- Live and breathe without needing to think about it
- Adapt and heal any injuries it sustains
- Grow into a perfectly formed, symmetrical being
- Digest food and keep what it needs and discard the rest
- Perceive the world through our 5 senses
- Process emotions
- Learn and grow with an amazing mind
- Move around without a second thought
- Protect myself from viruses that want to harm me
- For me, I was gifted the ability to grow a life after many trials and tribulations
- Experience feelings of joy
- Connect with others deeply
- and so many more...
So, why as my body has gone through changes, have I been angry at its appearance? I have decided to try to look and feel my best while at the same time, having gratitude for this life I have because of my body. Many are not so fortunate.
The Importance of Internal Dialogue
I am a believer in energy and that it comes back to you in the way you put it out. Maybe you have heard that if you talk nicely about your hair, it will grow. The way that we talk to our bodies makes a difference. I'm not going to go too deeply into Quantum Physics right now, but to scratch the surface, everything we see is energy. We all have a certain vibration that our energy vibrates at and due to the Law of Resonance, like attracts like.
A study on water molecules was done my Dr. Masoru Emoto. In his study, he looked at what happened to water when it was exposed to certain types of music or words. What he found is that, the water molecules did indeed change to either be beautiful and organized when lovely music was played or kind words were spoken and that the water molecules became disorganized when hard music was played or unkind words were spoken. Why does this matter for you? Well, our bodies are made up of 70% water, so what that means is that if you speak terrible thoughts to your body, your physical form will begin to take on an image of that negativity. Here is a video if you would like to watch more about this study:
