A Life Lived Fully - the Happiness Connection

What truly makes for a happy life? You may be wondering why a Style Coach is talking about happiness.  But, here's the thing:  under the umbrella of being a Style Coach, I seek to help my Clients to overcome self-doubt, build confidence, AND find happiness. This applies not only to your closet (and YES, that definitely plays a role), but to life in general!  Are you surprised? My Clients hear me say repeatedly that what I love most about what I do is when I see a woman clothed in confidence, literally, that is where I find my joy.  We all deserve to feel beautiful and to reflect the beauty we have on the inside OUTSIDE.  But many women struggle with seeing that inner beauty or see all of the perceived flaws on the outside and that translates to how they feel about themselves inside.  And, I work on that with my Clients one-on-one. Back to the elusive "Happiness".  It really can be fleeting, right?  One moment you are walking down the street ...

Showing Up for Yourself and Why it's So Critical

We have found ourselves in an ever-casual world post-pandemic.  As a Style Coach, I hear it all the time:  "I'm not going into the office, so I just don't need nice clothes.", or "I have littles, so I just don't get dressed up.", and the hardest one to hear is "I'm in the process of losing weight and I don't want to spend money on clothes until I've reached my goal." Did you know that a first impression is made within the first 7 seconds of someone seeing you?  7 seconds!  And did you know that once that first impressio...

Ready to Wear is NOT Ready to Wear!

I recently attended two formal events.  I LOVE dressing up and getting "fancy".  It seems to be a bit of a lost art these days. Dressing up makes you feel beautiful and what that does for your confidence is immeasurable. As I shared photos of my dress and received many compliments on my dresses, it occurred to me that NO ONE understands that the dress I wore was different than the dress I ordered.  As a Stylist, I feel like an awareness must be brought to this topic. You see, when I ordered the two dresses, I looked at the size charts (as everyone SHOULD do when shopping online), but guess what?!  The sizes were not perfect for my measurements!  Here is a truth:  READY TO WEAR IS NOT READY TO WEAR! Our bodies are all unique.  The way a size 10 fits one person will not fit her friend in a size 10 in the same way EVEN IF they are both a size 10!  Our bodies are unique in that we all are different heights, we have different body types, different prop...
